New seafood restaurant, Paddlefish, now open at Walt Disney World
This past weekend Disney Springs’ newest restaurant, Paddlefish, opened up its doors to the public. The seafood eatery is taking over the former home of Fulton’s Crab House, a restaurant that closed back in April last year. Being fashioned after a riverboat, the housing of the dining room has a history dating all the way back to 1976 when it was called the Empress Lilly. At that point it was a part of the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village, the area we now know as Disney Springs. In 1996, Fulton’s Crab House moved in and removed the boat’s smokestacks and paddle-wheel, which Paddlefish now has brought back.
